Research & Strategy

Personas

Speaking with the President of Vendenberghe Properties, we identified the primary demographics as 90% 30-50 year old working professionals and families. Less than 10% of the demographic are students and seniors. Knowing both our objectives and the demographics was key for my design choices. From there, three personas were created:

Discovery & Creative Exploration

Part of the preliminary discovery call is a discussion on guiding keywords and positioning graphs to help the client visualize and clearly articulate their vision for their design. This exercise is often lead by the designer, or the Art Director. Direct communication with the President of Vandenberghe Properties lead to the following position graph:

Wireframes

Early explorations of the home page and the different elements like the open navigation and the specials banner of The Lark at Copper River. The process included plotting elements of design and a layout that aligned with goals & objectives. The floor plan in particular required multiple iterations because it included a second tier to accommodate the townhouse options.

High Fidelity Mockups

Designed in sketch and uploaded to Invision, these static comps show the details that our developers followed to bring my design to life. These are also used to present to the client, as well as gather any potential feedback from them. Once the final product is built in staging and approved, the site is pushed live.
